Back End Engineer

Salt is very excited to be partnering with a highly collaborative network analysis firm who are analyzing the complex fabric of social network structures, creating large-scale maps of social media landscapes. They’re a great client who partners with leading academic scientific institutions across the globe.

Core Competencies:

• 3+ years of professional programming experience
• Ruby and/or Python
• You are excellent at debugging and optimizing code
• You have knowledge of SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
• You are a well-rounded engineer with solid knowledge of CS fundamentals.
• You have a deep understanding of good software engineering practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and refactoring

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS services: S3, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, etc
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience working in a data-focused organization
• Experience with social media analysis
• Experience with NoSQL technologies like MongoDB
