The Company

A small startup-style team of ~100 Designers and Software Engineers, nested within a $30B global business. They deliver mission-critical technical projects for blue-chip partners including Microsoft, AWS and Goldman Sachs.

From their projects open-sourced on GitHub (a Slackbot written in GoLang anyone?) to their engineering blog on Medium this is a truly tech-led, startup-style environment, with the added security of a global brand and longstanding relationships with large scale customers.

Based out of their digital lab in Dumbo, Brooklyn they build cloud native applications from scratch and guide their partners from legacy monoliths to Microservices and APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Build cloud native applications and platforms to solve critical business problems
• Write clean, concise code in a modern backend language
• Embrace Modern Programming Practices, CI / CD, Microservices and Test Driven Development
• Evangelize about cloud adoption to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Skills Shopping list

The ideal candidate is:

• A backend software engineer with 5+ years of experience
• An expert in either Java or Python
• Built highly available cloud-native applications
• Confident articulating technical design choices to clients

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of other modern backend languages: Scala, Ruby, Node.JS, C# or GoLang
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Familiar with containerization tools (Docker / Kubernetes / Rancher)
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform ( AWS / Azure / Google Cloud )
• Experience working with modern DevOps tools ( Ansible / Puppet / Terraform )
