Industrial Designer (Jewellery)

An exceptional company in Joburg who specialise in the design and manufacturing of custom Jewellery – is looking for a top industrial designer with experience in luxury jewellery design to join their team.

You need to be an experienced Industrial Designer, that is eager to learn and has a dynamic personality with a flair for creativity. You must have ambition, competitive edge, positive attitude and a team player, and bring new ideas to the forefront.

Responsibilities:

-In charge of all industrial jewellery design work

-In charge of all the management and processes of manufacturing, including sourcing diamonds and manufacturing

-Ready CAD files, including scaling and casting ready files

-In charge of all job management process from design brief to completed product, including setting and finishing

-In charge of design concepts and professional renderings for clients

-Admin work pertaining to design, manufacturing and diamond stock

-Adhock design work

-Organised

Basic Skills & knowledge in:

-Adobe design creative suite

-Photoshop (Must)

-After Effects

-Photography skills

-Studio Lighting

-Photo and rendering editing skills

-Video Editing skills

-CAD Manufacturing Software

-Fluent in Dassault Solidworks

-Fluent in Rhino

-Keyshot

-Countersketch

Education requirements:

-BA or BTECH Degree in Industrial design, specialised in Jewellery Design* – STRICTLY

-5-6 years’ experience in the industrial design industry, beneficial jewellery design experience

Salary:

-R30-40k/month depending on experience, talent and qualifications.
