Develop a test plan for acquisitions to optimize the strategy around maximising names in the appropriate credit risk distribution and reducing adspend cost. Ensure that the acquisition marketing cost at a channel, or campaign level, does not exceed the maximum permitted amount.
Work with merchandise to identify merchandise assets that can be used to maximise return on acquisition campaigns (response and conversion).
Manage the acquisition marketing channel leads to ensure that they are achieving their objectives in line with the overall acquisition marketing strategy.
Work closely with Data Science and CICA to identify data-driven profitable acquisition strategies.
Work closely with operations to drive acquisition across sales channels and provide necessary marketing support in order to achieve sufficient cost per name
Targets
Achieve overall acquisition targets within constraints of legislation
Manage the flow of names into the list on a 24 month time horizon
Align the merchandise strategy, credit strategy with the business strategy for all relevant acquisition campaigns
Acquisition campaigns
Strategically plan the flow of acquisition activities based on the list growth requirements and effectively plan for any imminent changes to legislation
Plan and agree on an optimal offer strategy for a rolling 12 months with merchandise and credit risk based on the ‘ from the preceding 12 months
Ensure that the’ business plan variables are credible from a forecast perspective and adjusted timeously as more actual materialise in the current financial year
Manage the spend in line with the quality of leads through to profitability to infer the correct investment strategies.
Ensure that costs are optimized across acquisitions activities and meet the efficiency targets for next year
Develop and document the test plan for the next 12 months acquisition activities
Manage the adspend budget and efficiency
Ensure that the adspend cost per name for all acquisition activities is achieved
Ensure that the consolidated adspend forecasts are credible and in line with strategic objectives and actuals are updated timeously
Manage the adspend process to ensure efficiency gains are continuously achieved
Effectively manage and develop acquisition analysts
Ensure team members have clear and tangible goals which are assessed bi-annually through the KPA performance management process
Provide effective leadership and training to team members in order to reduce turnover in the acquisitions area and achieve optimal efficiency within the team
Ensure that acquisition analysts work effectively with individuals across the business to gain knowledge on strategies, business processes to improve the overall profitability and customer service
Qualifications
Business Science / BComm or Marketing Degree (with statistics and marketing)
Experience & Skills
3 to 5 years managerial experience
Previous experience in either a marketing or merchandise planning function would be a distinct advantage
MS Office proficient (Advance Excel skills)
