An ecommerce company focused on online payments is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join their ranks to generate brand awareness and drive new client acquisition through events. In this role, you will take ownership of the events portfolio by project managing an effective events strategy from start to finish, which includes planning, budgeting, attending and analyzing the performance of in-person and virtual events. In the real world, this might include organising countrywide workshops and events, coordinating our involvement in bigger conferences (sponsorships and display stands), attending industry exhibitions and hosting webinars / virtual events.
You may be asked to assist in the planning and organizing of internal staff functions, as well as get involved in other marketing activities, such as sourcing merchandise, liaising with suppliers, drafting presentations and actively participating in marketing brainstorming sessions.
Roles and responsibilities
Our client is looking for someone who is professional and driven, with an ability to think ahead and work under tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment. While not an absolute requirement, it will be incredibly advantageous if you have some knowledge of e-commerce (as a buyer or a seller), payments, website & content management, social media, copywriting, bulk email software and event management.
