Payments Manager

A prominent name in the betting industry is looking for someone to join their team as as Payments Manager. The core mandate of this role would be to manage the payments function of the business, and the successful applicant will be responsible with ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments as well as to successfully drive the primary activities required to implement and transition the business to the target payment model. There is a customer service element as well, in that you would be directly involved in the customer journey, and being a core part of the customer experience. This role has excellent growth potential within the business, as you would eventually be tasked with building and managing your own team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage efficient and effective service delivery of payments processing.
  • Ensure supplier accounts are regularly reconciled and accurate, in particular at month and year end.
  • Ensure payments and receipts for operational and client transactions are processed timely and accurately
  • Investigate and clear queries in a timely manner, provide update and escalations of queries
  • Proactively research new payment methods and solutions with a view of achieving more streamlined processes and/or improved customer experience
  • Act as the process owner of customer journeys for payment activities andactively take part in improving customer experience.
  • Actively seek ways of improving process efficiency, implementing industry best practice and identifying cost saving initiatives.
  • Play an active role in cross team and company-wide project in order to support the short term and longer-term business strategy.
  • Review and enhance existing processes and procedures to meet changes in legislation and regulations, complimentary and continuous improvement in efficiency


  • Relevant BA/BSc degree
  • Minimum 5+ years in payments
  • Experienced in implementing payments solutions: Payment Platforms, Payment Service Hub, Acquiring, Processing, Clearing and Settlement
  • Proven experience in providing excellent customer service
