This role will work cross-functionally, in partnership with the Digital, Operations and Marketing teams to successfully apply and quantify data. The role will entail mining and analysing large data sets using data science techniques, to deliver appropriate outcomes for the business, whether analysis, modelling and/or recommendations.
Key Requirements:
Business Partnering – Partner with the eCommerce Director in defining the data foundation, and supporting technology and processes
Data – Uses methodical Data science techniques to select and tune algorithms and quantify performance in a business relevant way
Story telling – Tell engaging stories using non-technical language and visualizations to influence change
Experiments – Setup and execute experiments to quantify the performance of algorithms in both digital and physical domains
Stakeholder Management – Work with multiple stakeholders to understand the business problem and translate into deliverables
Project Management – Work across a range of projects leveraging advanced techniques that include, but aren’t limited to predictive analytics from CRM, customer propensity modelling, audience segmentation
Qualifications:
BSC/BA or Masters in a numeric discipline
Experience:
Min of 5 years’ experience in a data science role,
with a min 3yrs programming in python, R
Highly numerical and analytical mind set
Skills/Competencies:
Previous cloud experience in technologies such as AWS or Azure
Proficient with SQL databases
Experience in using Python, or R
Proficiency in using programming languages
Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
Expert in mining large data sets
Experience with ETL tools
Proficiency in setting up and maintaining data visualizations dashboards using tools such as Power BI
