Your opportunity

We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated and meticulous individual to support the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This role is a 2-3 year “Accelerated Apprenticeship” in the fast growing e-Commerce and on-demand delivery space. You will work with and learn directly from the COO on how a tech startup is scaled up and what it takes, from an executive perspective, to make it happen. Your exposure will be across the entire business – Strategy, Product, Design, Engineering, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and CS.

You will support the COO on most aspects of his day-to-day responsibilities – including his administrative, analytical, reporting, project and strategic work. You will attend internal and external meetings with the COO, and be responsible for noting deliverables, as well as executing on a variety of deliverables and projects on behalf of the COO. Your work will include industry and client research, as well as project support on the most strategic projects in the business. You will own all reporting for the COO and liaise with all levels of the business to compile reports. You will also get exposure to clients, senior leadership and board members via attending meetings with the COO and doing work on his behalf.

Your objective is to make the COO more effective in his role, whilst being apprenticed on all aspects of leading a company and growing a tech startup.

What you will be doing

· Lead majority of the executive content for the COO: presentations, excel analyses and models,

· reporting (you will be apprenticed on style & techniques by the COO, who is an ex-McKinsey

· consultant and ex-OLX Group CEO)

· Industry & client research

· Special project support: you will assist the COO on particular client-related and organizational

· projects that he leads from his desk

· General executive support: taking notes/ minutes, attending executive and board meetings,

· attending client meetings (learn how decision-making & operating a hyper-growth company

· happens)

· Help execute/ support culture-building initiatives directly from the CEO’s and COO’s desks

Skills requirements

· Only black/ ACI females are eligible for this role

· Bachelors of Commerce or Business Science degrees with honours, and averages above 65%

· 1-3 years of work experience work experience is preferred

· Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

· Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

· Extremely high work ethic with a result-driven mindset

· High attention to detail

· Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities

· Proven history of being a team player and being able to sacrifice for the greater good

· Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

· Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· A highly ambitious individual with a strong desire to succeed and create impact

· An energetic person with a positive attitude would thrive in this fast-paced, demanding environment
