Integration API Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To assist the Team lead: Integration Implementation with System Design, configuration, investigation and administration of CA LAYER7 Gateway, SOA, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud implementations and custom systems.

JOB OBJECTIVES

➢ Perform day to day support

• To act as first line support for CA API Gateway (Layer 7)
• To troubleshoot errors and investigate queries in the integration system
• To manage & action assigned Remedy HELIX incidents and requests
• Capture SOA governance information in an EA Repository.
• Provide API solution consultations and design to clients.
• Configure API Gateway e.g. CA API Layer7 Gateway

➢ Development

• Develop Policy Fragments
• Develop Encapsulated Assertions
• Develop Pre-service policies for enhanced diagnostics and security
• Mastering and standardizing implementation of endpoint threat protection & internal policies
• Improve CA API Gateway MIB SNMP tooling and Tactical SNMP implementation.
• Improve SLA management.
• Implement Auditing standards on CA API Gateway (and others)
• Implement Monitoring standards on CA API Gateway (and others)
• Develop Java/Javascript etc. applications
• Extend API Gateway capabilities with custom on-prem & cloud development tools.
• Knowledge of Layer7 API developer portal.

➢ Troubleshooting and Identifying root cause

• Work with network teams (internal and external) to troubleshoot and resolve firewall and connectivity issues.
• Work with the different system administration teams to resolve issues e.g. permissions, SSL Certificates, AD users and AD user groups.
• Assist internal business units and third parties with Integration problem resolutions.
• Investigate queries related to service access.
• Troubleshoot all services exposed through API gateway.
• Escalate problems with internal businesses and 3rd parties to the System Support for that System.
• Investigates and analyze performance and scalability of integrating API’s

➢ Collaborate with the Integration Support team to smoothly transition new data flows and configurations into relevant environments

• To successfully implement configurations for the DEV, QA, PRE_PROD & PROD environments

➢ Improvement of systems and processes

• Develop processes to improve productivity.
• Solve recurring problems by implementing coded solutions or configuration updates.

➢ Transition basic day-to-day administration and support tasks

• To manage & action assigned Remedy HELIX incidents and requests
• Support clients and 3rd party integrations.
• Automate recurring tasks through CI and/or other tools
