Our client is looking for a self-motivated, assertive and proactive IT Project Manager with proven management skills. This individual will have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects run in the IT department. The project portfolio consists of predominantly software implementations and experience in managing medium to large projects with medium to high levels of complexity is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing projects from inception to post delivery and operational handover
• Ensuring that the project principles are applied when using waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies
• Ensuring that scope is defined, documented and agreed and meets project objectives
• Production of all project documentation
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive and accurate project plans
• Ensuring that projects are delivered within scope, budget and on time
• Stakeholder Management at all levels

Required skills and qualifications

• Must have excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager (retail industry experience desirable)
• Sound experience in SDLC and Implementation
• Diploma or certification in Project Management
