UX Design & Content Manager

We are working with the largest Insurance company in South Africa to find a Manager that will oversee a team of UX Designers and UX Writers. This role offers support to the manager and focusses on your strengths where you will be working closely with the Product Lead to achieve objectives. Only having to come into the office once a week and the odd additional day, you can spend more time doing what matters.

More about the role:

• Lead, mentor and grow team
• Understand fundamental design artefacts such as customer journey mapping, user flows, scenario mapping, ecosystem mapping, affinity diagrams, etc and the creation of these artefacts
• Work closely with senior leadership to create strategic visions for the product and then deliver on those visions
• Work with designers to ensure a deep understanding of user needs and that design solutions fit into a consistent product experience
• Develop, lead and implement content strategies and processes in line with broader business objectives, without losing sight of user needs
• Assist with and oversee user research, interviews, surveys and usability studies, translating findings into actionable results

More about you:

• 5 years experience leading teams (formally or informally) through the design process, from early concept to post-launch
• Experience with product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity, usability and A/B testing
• Management of multiple projects in an agile environment
• Working knowledge of Figma, Miro, Contentful (or other CMSes), Google Analytics, Hotjar
• A portfolio of work demonstrating human-centred design thinking and content solutions
