Business Development Executive

Greater London Permanent £30000.00 - £35000.00 per annum + + OTE

This platform was built by a bunch of executives in retail when admin stopped them from getting results. The platform collects performance data for a retailer, reports what’s going well, helping retail merchandising teams make smarter decisions, and take profitable action. It’s an American company that is still pretty new to the UK Market so the territory is all yours! Backed by some pretty big names in the Venture Capital world.

The role:

  • Conduct online and telephone research to create a full picture of target accounts and to enable segmentation and qualification. Example data points include ownership structure and online turnover
  • Work with sales/marketing to develop call scripts and email follow-up templates. Call into target accounts to present its product, book sales appointments, secure attendance events and assess potential sales opportunities. Manage and chair weekly lead generation meetings with both the sales and marketing team.
  • Work with the business development team to provide support in completing RFPs, sales proposals and presentations
  • Work with marketing to ensure effective follow-up for email/direct mail/event campaigns and inbound website or social media leads
  • Support marketing in maintaining a clean and well validated CRM database as well as creating and running specific lead generation/sales pipeline reports and dashboards

You’ll need to demonstrate you have:

  • Graduate with experience in sales or customer service; interest in developing a career in sales
  • Fast learner with interest in retail and/or technology
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Experience using Salesforce.com preferred
  • Strong communicator – articulate and high standards of written communication
  • Resilient and composed under pressure
  • Commitment to learning and self-development
  • A welcoming attitude, and ability to reinforce the values of the company
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
