Senior Business Development Manager – Mobile Application Development – London

The Company

Founded in 2010, my client has grown to become one of the UK’s leading Mobile and Digital application businesses. In an ever-growing world in mobile, these guys really prove their value through the work they are doing with large global clients such as KPMG, Waitrose and Network Rail. Working on projects on some of the top User Platforms in the UK, my client is hitting a serious growth curve right now.

From a strong foundation and background in digital and Media, the company has benefited from a steady growth, and is encouraged by its latest ventures to add to their already flourishing London based team. This is a role for Senior Business Development Manager to be one of the most senior members in team, allowing you to grow with the company, especially having a hand in team management and recruitment further down the year for the sales team.

The Role

Based in their vibrant South London office, you will be reporting directly to the Sales Director, working closely together on developing, securing and closing new logo business opportunities with mid-level to enterprise accounts. You will act in a consultative manner with your clients, due to the complexity and number of modules that are a key part to the company’s product line. This will require a strong solution based selling background.

The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be able to proactively identify and close new business opportunities, with a strong background working with c-level executives on deals with an AOV of £500k+. You will be supported by an internal team who will be tasked on providing quality leads for the Senior Business Development Manager.

  • To create and follow a self-made business plan, focused on growing value for new business logos, through meeting and exceeding pre-defined new business targets.
  • To use a combination of strategic and analytical methods to identify gaps in the market, to implement their solution.
  • Identify new business opportunities using various methods of prospecting, as well as being able to convert qualified leads from the internal sales team.
  • Build long term relationships with high level executives, with large global clients.
  • Use a combination of cold calling and regular meetings to build a strong pipeline.
  • Facilitate and drive performance management processes.
  • Work closely with the service delivery, project management and product design teams, to create bespoke solutions designed around a client’s requirements.

The Candidate

The successful Senior Business Development Manager will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Degree educated & min 3+ years of sales experience in a B2B.
  • High levels of commercial awareness – proven background in growing opportunities from the ground – up.
  • Strong background in closing new business deals.
  • Proven over-achiever.
  • Strong understanding of digital concepts and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong communication, presentation and time management skills.
  • Highly driven, proactive and dynamic.
