City of London Contract / 6 Months £500.00 - £550.00 per day

Business Analyst- Our client is a top tier bank working on a new digital payments projects looking for an experience BA to define and implement open banking and API-led connectivity strategies in line with the new and revised payments directives.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Capture includes working with Stakeholder Groups and Working Groups to capture functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Process Flow Mapping includes Functional & Nonfunctional Epics/Stories mapped to Macro Level Journeys and Regulatory Articles under the Open Banking Group Limited.
  • Capture all requirements (RAID – Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies/ in JIRA & Confluence.
  • Defining the Acceptance Criteria for all Epics/Stories
  • Understanding the dependencies across all tracks.
  • Working with the Product Owner to review and close all open issues/dependencies.
  • Working with the Scrum Master to review Product Backlog is up to date and risks and concerns are prioritized.
  • Working with the Scrum Master & Product Owner to define the high level scope &goals for each Sprint.
  • Working with the Architects to align the user stories to the sequence diagrams.
  • Coming up with a clear defined roadmap for the process deliverables.
  • Align the roadmap/strategy for leading financial services clients
  • Participate in the concept phases and project definition
  • Stakeholder workshops including Product Owner/Lead Architects/Design Authorities/IT teams/Scrum Masters and Developers/Testers in order to present the results & support the preparation of project proposals
  • Support the Delivery of Open Banking
  • BA/BC will work with clients to define and implement open banking and API-led connectivity strategies in line with the new and revised payments directives (PSD2).
  • Production of Business and Systems Requirements Catalogues
  • Understand the lifecycle of the engagement across different tracks TPP/AISP/PISP etc.
  • Skills

  • Good understanding of API concepts and use cases such as PSD2, CMA Regulations and Open Banking.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in API Platforms and Standards with solid understanding of business integration technologies, vendor solutions in the market, and architecture trends like Microservices
  • Understanding of ISO 22022 payment messages
  • An understanding of the overall program lifecycle and supporting methodologies and processes
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills as this involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders across the programme.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies including JIRA/Confluence
  • Strong awareness of API initiatives and terminology impacting the digital world
  • Familiarity with PSD2 and the implications of it both technically and commercially.
