My clients Informatics Programme has a strong reputation for creating engaging applications around biodiversity data and analysis for global conservation. This is a genuine opportunity to do better for the world, save species and land while creating highly intuitive applications. You’ll get to work on Geo-spatial, tools and methodologies for understanding the environment and big data.
Their products are used by governments globally, various foundations and wildlife conversations as well as the UN. They heavily assist in stopping the extinction of endangered species as well as protect future conservation land.
We are looking for a Senior Product manager to play the role of Head of informatics. The role will be a senior Product manager one but with 20% of the time responsible for that of of someone running a software development team. You’ll manage and grow the team, which currently comprises of four Ruby on Rails developers, one specialist front-end developer, two designers (a junior designer and a digital UX/UI designer), a DevOps engineer and a Product Manager. The successful candidate will be an experienced, qualified and a proven leader with the ability to manage the Centre’s expanding portfolio of work
You’ll need a strong understanding of modern day software technologies and methodologies, proven success in recruiting, developing and managing a team of people, whilst controlling finances and budgets is a must. Creating a unified vision of what they can do to continue growth, both as an internal agency and service provider
They will provide you with the challenge of working on high profile conservation projects and give you the chance to meet amazing people all over the world, attend conferences at Universities like Harvard and MIT as well as collaborate with companies like Google and Facebook on global conservation projects.
